Candlewood Cabins Announces Name Change

For Immediate Release:

Richland Center, WI, June 15, 2021: After 26 years of doing business as “Candlewood Cabins”, the cabin rental business based in the driftless region of rural Wisconsin, which has gained national and international recognition, is changing its name - to “Anaway Place”. The new name represents an expansion of the mission, vision, and values of the company. Anaway Place continues to offer modern cabin rentals, including a completely remodeled barn. The expansion involves opening an on-site store, stocked with local foods, wine and home goods.  Anaway Home, a new line of designer-curated home products inspired by Anaway Place, will be featured in the store and offered soon online.

“We’ve been doing business as Candlewood Cabins for a long time. The name Candlewood is dear to our hearts. It represents our origins and our history, but Anaway Place better represents our mission and our future. We are excited to have our children join us as we enhance our guests' experience through the new on-site store and venture into new territory, starting with the launch of Anaway Home,” says Norbert Calnin, co-founder, owner and innkeeper of Candlewood Cabins, now Anaway Place.

Anaway Place represents a securing of the company’s mission:

To be a destination for rejuvenation and connection, encouraged by the gentle surrounding of nature.

Candlewood Cabins has become a sought-after hideaway destination, seeing guests travel from across the country to find calm in thoughtfully designed interiors and the serenity of the Wisconsin countryside. Whether snow blankets the ground, or the valley is flush with greenery, delightful encounters with nature are woven throughout the guest experience. As recent studies show, nature offers therapeutic benefits of reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, and is proven to lower blood pressure, the stress hormone cortisol, and may even help reduce ruminating negative thought cycles.

The Anaway Place store enhances the guest experience by providing a place to grab ingredients for making a few meals or snacks for an excursion into the woods. The store features local artisan goods, apothecary, and mindfulness activities for guests’ stay at Anaway Place and features the Anaway Home product line.

Anaway Home products are sourced ethically and responsibly considering the impact of human consumption on people and natural resources throughout the supply chain, while also curating goods which are high quality, artisan crafted, and carry the effortless luxury from Anaway Place into the home. “Your home should feel like a retreat. We need comfort, peace and a calm home environment in our world right now,” states Susan Calnin, co-founder, owner and innkeeper at Anaway Place. Anaway Home is anticipating the launch of an online store, making their products available nationwide later this year.
